Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Please, allow me to introduce myself, as you’ll be hearing a lot from me in the coming months. My name is Jan de Leon, and I have recently joined Channel Enablers as the Director of Channel Sales for Channel Sales Excellence in Asia Pacific.
I have a long history of working with channels from the earliest days of my career at Hewlett-Packard to more recent roles, such as the four years I spent as the Regional Manager of Channel Operations for the Asia-Pacific region at Motorola. While at Hewlett-Packard, I had the opportunity to work with Channel Enablers and experienced, first-hand, how concepts like Market Mapping, the whole product, partner selection, partner programs, channel enablement, etc., should be aligned to overall corporate strategy to support an effective go-to-market approach. I couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to help others achieve the same results.
I am also looking forward to leveraging the Channel Enablers blog to add my input on many of the topics that are critically important in today’s complex, multi-channel environments, such as how to build a global channel organization, reduce channel conflict and become your partners’ trusted advisor.
On the personal side, I am originally from the Philippines, but I make my home in Singapore. In my free time, I like being active. I run and participate in several races every year, from 10Ks to full marathons. I enjoy basketball, badminton, tennis and bowling. I also started wakeboarding last year, and water sports have become my passion.
